In the Pink
In the Pink is a food blog event that wants to encourage the breast cancer awareness month. Emily from La Dolce Vita initiates this event to raise the awarness amoung us. And here is my contribution!
Pomegranate and figs are fruits which sembolize feminity, energy, hope and love. So this two fruits should be elements of my sweets. For both of the sweets I used rose syrup which is a fragrance of feminity (I know there are some who hate it;)) and PINK. 
The first recipe was for our turkish foodblog event with the theme pomegranate. It's me who choosed this theme to get more recipes with pomegranate. I love pomegranate and try to create new recipes where pomegranate is not only a decoration. I made a pomegranate panna cotta with rose syrup. I forgot to decorate my pomegranate rose panna cotta with rose sugar, it could have been so nice:(
Pomegranate rose panna cotta
ingredients
1 bag agar agar (8g)
400 ml whipping cream
(or 200ml whipping + 200ml milk)
1-2 tablespoons pomegranate juice
1-2 tablespoons rose syrup
3-4 tablespoons sugar
kernels of a pomegranate
PS: A research (Aviram et. al., Am. J. Clinical Nutrition, Vol. 71, 1062-1076, May 2000) shows the anti-aging influence of pomegranate. And another recent scientific investigation (Williamson et al,Am. J. Clinical Nutrition, Jan 2005; 81: 243S - 255S.) concludes that pomegranate juice prevents prostate and skin cancer. It's not known but I guess it also maybe have a preventive effect against breast cancer.
Over a shortcrust with hazelnuts I placed the figs which I caramelised(brew a little bit) in a juice. For this juice I brewed cardamom in a little bit water than I added limon juice, rose syrup and caramel I had before. You can use brown sugar.

Both entries look wonderful - figs and pomegranates are certainly pink, though it would never have crossed my mind to use them. I love how unusual both your ingredients are!

Dilek, incirli tart tarifinin detaylarini verirmisin (olculer filan)? Goruntusu muhtesem. Kiyipta yediniz mi yoksa ?!? Bir de cardamon kullanmissin, bu baharat hakkinda bildiklerini paylasirsan cok mutlu olurum. Gecenlerde, nerde kullanilabilecegi hakkinda fazla bilgim olmadan, bende aldim meraktan. Bir tanidigimiz pilava koydugunu soylemisti, denedim ama hic hosuma gitmedi sonuc. Acaba fazla mi kullandim - yanlis mi kullandim bilmiyorum. Bir de benim aldigim cardamon, senin resimde gorunenin icindeki cekirdek (tohum?). Bu kadar :)

Oh,both of your desserts look absolutely amazing, congratulations!!What a pitty I don't understand Turkish, I would love to see the roundup of the pomegranate event.
